Hi, delegates, My name is João Gonçalves and I am proud to serve as Chair of the US House of Representatives for the 2023 edition of SALMUN! I have participated in many MUN conferences since 6th grade but it's my first time chairing a legislative council. I started to participate more in Model United Nations events as a way to meet new people and learn about topics that are affecting the world, up until now, MUN has been an important part of my academic life. When I am not studying or at school, you would find me swimming or watching movies. I sincerely hope MUN and specifically this conference helps all  delegates, specially new ones achieve success. Hello, delegates, my name is João Davi, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to be the Vice-Chair of the US House of Representatives at SALMUN! This will be my seventh conference, and my second as a Chair. I really like how MUN makes it possible for anyone to practice their leading skills and how it helps people to lose the fear of public speaking. When I’m not at school, I will probably be watching a amovie or walking in circles at my house while reflecting about the most useless topic you can think of. Together with João Gonçalves and the Secretariat, we wish to make the most accessible committee as possible, so everyone can participate and discuss.
